The Training and Placement Cell is functioning with a full time Training & Placement Officer from the academic year 2004-06 to place the students in reputed organizations. The T&P Cell provides the infra-structural facilities to conduct group discussions, tests and interviews, special lectures. The T&P Cell serves to bridge the gap between a job-aspirant and a prospective employer. At the beginning of the academic year, meetings of final-year students are called, where they are thoroughly briefed about the modus operandi of placement procedures and the expectations of industries by the experts. Advice is given on how students can go about in securing coveted positions in prestigious establishments. The industries are invited to conduct campus recruitment.
The students are placed for training during vacations. They are nurtured right with the basic Communications skills programme to personality development programmes apart from the highly required industrial exposure through in plant training, industrial visits & guidance from research organization. The faculty is deputed for refresher courses, vocational training, and short & long term courses to keep them upgraded and updated with the technological innovations. An effort is also made to inculcate an appetite for research appetite in the student and faculty as well.

Knowledge having with no application base is always partial understanding of the subjects. Gaining experience in industry through summer training programme is an integral part of the engineering course curriculum. Students prepare summer training projects which are submitted to the company as well as the college. This project carries weightage in respect of the final placement. The inplant practical training to our engineering students during summer vacation is very much relevant for inculcating the professional culture and exposing the students to the work environment of Indian industries. This also provides an opportunity to the faculty of the Institute to interact effectively with the industries in academic, research & development and other activities. The Cell interacts industries/organization to impart practical summer training to our students for 6 to 8 weeks every year.
