The Department of Mechanical
Engineering was established with inception of the institute on 1998 with
intake of 60 students. It is well known for its high academic standards,
well maintained discipline & excellent infrastructure facilities.
Department is housed in
separate spacious building with 1606 sq.m. area
& has 10 separate lab which are properly equipped with modernized
equipment worth almost Rs. 50 lakhs. Department has got well experienced
faculty members with their Ph.D
& post Graduation in Mechanical stream like Design, Heat Power,
Production Engg. as a special subject. All Staff
member have real thrust for knowledge. They keep upgrading themselves by
attending various Seminars/Workshop & Actively participate &
publish their Papers in National & International Conferences which are
conducted all over India.
Department aims for all
round development of students for which MESA organization is formed under
which students are promoted to participate in different state level Paper
presentation competition, Project
Exhibition etc. Department also organizes Workshop, Expert lectures,
Seminars & Value addition courses for students. For interaction with
companies department organizes industrial visit & in plant training for
students. Few of our B.E. students with staff participated in ‘NASA’
Competition & were awarded with certificates.
Finally its impact on the institute
& on society itself is easily demonstrated by noting the alignment of
department’s evaluation with key events.
