This
Department consists of three basic science streams, common for all the
engineering branches. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are the common
subjects for all first year engineering students. The laboratories
associated with this department are well equipped and have the latest
equipment. The staff of the department is young, enthusiastic and
dedicated to their profession. Apart from their normal teaching load,
most of them are engaged in a number of extra curricular activities like
counseling weak students, guidance for the students who have either
joined late or have failed in the respective subjects, sports, cultural
activities etc.
Staff members from
this department have attended various refresher courses/ seminars /
workshops and also published various books for engineering students.
